Once particulate and moisture have been removed it is sometimes necessary to remove residual oil and hydrocarbon vapor. This is often done in cases where the air is used for instrument air or prior to a sterile grade filter. The activated carbon is wrapped with an outer layer of filter media preventing the carbon form “dusting” and contaminating the air with particulate. This type of filtration is available from 30 to 20,000 cfm. Ask PFS about the size best for your application.
